DALLAS - The Wiley College men's soccer team overcame a first half deficit with three second half goals in a 3-1 victory over Paul Quinn College Saturday.

The Wildcats (6-2) won their fourth consecutive game and improved to 2-0 in road contests. They finish 4-2 in nonconference. This is the first time this season Wiley College has won after trailing at halftime.

After traveling from Hobbs, New Mexico, Friday night and not arriving in Dallas until the early hours of Saturday morning, the Wildcats were sluggish in the first half. The Tigers took the lead in the 14th minute. Jordan Hall scored off a pass from Henry Estrada.

"We didn't start the game well," head coach Demetrio Hernandez said. "At halftime, I made some adjustments and we played much better."

Jorge Garcia (SO/La Joya, Texas) started the scoring for the Wildcats in the 51st minute. He cashed in on a pass by Jose Angel Rangel (FR/Donna, Texas). In the 69th minute, Garcia put Wiley College up for good – scoring on a pass by Leandro Lopez (SO/Bogota, Colombia). Tevin Peters (SR/Chaguanas, Trinidad&Tobago) added an insurance goal on a free kick in the 75th minute.

The Wildcats put the pressure on the Tigers' defense. It out-shot Paul Quinn College 19-7 and 18-7 in shots on goal. Erik Reyes (SR/Fort Worth, TX) made saves on six of seven shots. Wiley College resumes Red River Athletic Conference play Thursday at Our Lady of the Lake University.
