DALLAS – The Wiley College women's soccer team had its most productive game offensively this season in a 5-0 rout over Paul Quinn College Saturday.
"We started slow but scored in the second half," head coach Alexandra Neumann said. "It was a good win. My players took what we discussed at halftime and put it to use in the second half."
Kayla Taylor (SR/Santa Flora, Trinidad and Toba), the Lady Wildcats' All-Time leading scorer, had her most productive game with three goals on six shots. She scored on three one-on-one opportunities in the 52nd, 53rd and 85th minutes. Taylor leads Wiley College with four goals.
Miguianne Boldrin (SO/Brazil) started the scoring in the 49th minute on a free kick for her second goal of the season. Evelyn Saenz (FR/McAllen, Texas) put in her second goal of the season in the 71st minute. The Lady Wildcats out-shot the Lady Tigers 12-10.
Keri Myers (SR/Carapichaima, Trinidad & Tobag) picked up her second win of the season and second shutout. She stopped all 10 of Paul Quinn's shots. With the victory, Wiley College increases its winning streak to four games – tied for the best in program history.
The Lady Wildcats (4-2) resume Red River Athletic Conference play Thursday at Our Lady of the Lake University.
