The Wiley College women's cross country team out-ran its fellow NAIA schools and community colleges in the East Texas Baptist University Tiger Invitational Saturday at Marshall City Arena.
The invitational was the Lady Wildcats' first since September 8. They ran against Red River Athletic Conference programs Louisiana State University-Shreveport and Texas College. Jarvis Christian College and Jacksonville Community College ran individuals. The schools ran with NCAA Division III programs from the American Southwest Conference, but the results were scored separately.

Shamona Hunt (SO/Kingston, Jamaica) was runner-up with a time of 26:49.47. Wiley College tallied 24 points, which was well ahead of LSU-Shreveport – which finished with 47. Texas College scored 49.
The Lady Wildcats will return to this course on November 3 for the Red River Athletic Conference championship. They will run at the University of Dallas Invitational on October 14 for their final tune-up before the conference championship.
