Farinha earns CSC Academic All-District
Wiley University women's track and field athlete Jean Marie-Farinha earned recognition for her performances on the track, in the field and classroom as she garnered College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
Farinha was one of many college athletes nationwide selected by maintaining a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average or higher and finishing in the top 25 in a conference meet in at least one event in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. She placed fifth in the 800-meter run at the 2024 GCAC Track and Field Championship.
After two years, Farinha has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA. She also participated in women's soccer and cross country. Along with this honor, Farinha was named an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar and an NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete.
