Urban Edge Network unveils HBCU Plus Volleyball Broadcast Schedule

HOUSTON — Urban Edge Network and its HBCU Plus digital streaming platform is thrilled to unveil an unprecedented women's volleyball broadcast schedule showcasing over eighty games from the HBCU Athletic Conference, setting a new HBCU record.
This landmark decision underscores HBCU Plus's commitment to promoting and celebrating the athletic talents and achievements of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
"We are incredibly proud to offer a platform that showcases the exceptional talent of women athletes of the HBCU Athletic Conference," Hardy Pelt, CRO of UEN, said. "By broadcasting these games, we hope to inspire young female athletes as brands are taking notice."
Wiley University will be featured in 13 matches with eight live from Alumni Gymnasium. The first broadcast will be Wiley's HBCUAC opener against Dillard University on September 5 at 6 p.m. The Lady Wildcats are hosting a tournament on September 6 and 7 which will include matches against St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, John Melvin University, Paul Quinn College and Louisiana Christian University. On September 8, Wiley hosts Tougaloo College. It wraps its home schedule against Philander Smith University on September 19 and Southern University at New Orleans on September 21.
The Lady Wildcats will have five away matches included on the network. On September 27, they meet Wilberforce University for the first time in pod play at Fisk University. The Lady Wildcats travel to Dillard University (Oct. 4), Southern-New Orleans (Oct. 5), Tougaloo College (Oct. 11) and Philander Smith (Oct. 26). Last season Wiley was featured in 13 matches on HBCU Plus.
