Wiley University baseball unveils its 2026 schedule on Wednesday.
The schedule is highlighted by 22 home games, featuring Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) series against Huston-Tillotson University (Feb. 20-21), Philander Smith University (Mar. 14-15), Dillard University (Mar. 21-22) and Southern University at New Orleans (April 18-19).
The Wildcats open 2026 by visiting three schools from their former conference, the Red River Athletic Conference. They visit Louisiana Christian University, which made the 2025 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Baseball National Championship Opening Round on January 23. The next day, they visit Louisiana State University of Alexandria for a doubleheader. Last season, Wiley took two of three games against the Generals at home. For the second straight season, it visits Texas A&M University-Victoria, formerly University of Houston at Victoria, for a three-game series on January 30 and 31. The Jaguars open the season ranked No. 20. For the third straight season, the Wildcats will play a home-and-home series against Texas A&M University-Texarkana. They visit the Eagles on March 3 and host them on April 7.
Wiley opens its home schedule with a six-game homestand. It faces Ecclesia College of the National Christian College Athletic Association for a four-game series on February 6 and 7. The Wildcats conclude the homestand with a doubleheader against their East Texas rival Texas College on February 10. It will be the Steers' first visit to Coker Field since 2019. The Wildcats hosted a doubleheader against them at Airport Park in 2024.
Following the opening homestand, the Wildcats will travel to Southwestern Athletic Conference program Texas Southern University for a three-game exhibition series from February 13-15. They will also visit Grambling State University for two exhibition games on February 17 and March 24.
HBCU Athletic Conference play opens on February 20 and 21 with the Wildcats hosting Huston-Tillotson University. It will mark the first meeting between the Rams and Wildcats since they last competed in the RRAC in 2022. Wiley will visit the Rams on March 6 and 7, its first trip to Austin since 2018. This season, conference play will be inside the division. Wiley will potentially meet its East counterparts in the HBCUAC 2026 Hope Credit Union Baseball Championship on April 25-29. Along with H-T, it will visit SUNO on March 28-29 and Tougaloo College on April 11-12.
The Wildcats will play a home-and-home against Nelson University for the fifth straight season. They visit the Lions on March 17 and host them on March 31. For the second straight season, Wiley will play Arkansas Baptist College. It will visit the Buffaloes for a doubleheader on April 1 and host them for two on April 15.
All home games and conference games will be broadcast on the Urban Edge Network, which can be viewed online or mobile devices by downloading the free app.
The top four teams from each division will qualify for the 2026 HBCUAC Baseball Championship at River Run Park in Northport, Ala. The 2026 NAIA National Championship Opening Round is May 11-14 with the World Series on May 22-30 at Lewiston State College.
