Garrett, Fisher place in 60-meter hurdles
ATLANTA, Ga. - Wiley University men's track and field athletes Ronald Garrett and Brian Fisher had podium finishes in the 60-meter hurdles at the Emory University Crossplex Showdown Sunday.
Garrett, who already ran a national championship qualifying time in the event - ran 8.27 to finish runner-up. Fisher followed at 8.50 - which was 0.17 seconds from the 'B' qualifying standard. They also helped Wiley place in the 4 x 200-meter relay. Garrett ran with Harold Overton III, Jaylon Donson and Jordan Douglas. Fisher ran with Isaac Jenkins, Christian Lacy and Micah Ruben.
The Wildcats also ran in the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 300-meter dash, 600-meter run, 800-meter run, mile run, high jump, long jump and triple jump. They will open the outdoor season on March 8 and 9 at Southwestern Assemblies of God University Invitational.
