Garrett repeats as HBCUAC Track Athlete of the Week

After coming within striking distance of qualifying for the 2025 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men's Outdoor Track and Field National Championship, Wiley University men's track and field athlete Ronald Garrett repeats as Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Track Athlete of the Week for March 10-16.

Garrett nearly posted a national championship qualifying time in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing in 14.65 which was 0.15 seconds from the 'B' qualifying standard. He finished fourth out of 13 runners, mostly from National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I programs. He also ran on the relay teams. Garrett's performance helped the Wildcats finish seventh out of 13 teams.

The Wildcats will compete in the Prairie View A&M Relays on Friday.
