Men's Track and Field wrap McNeese Indoor II Invitational
LAKE CHARLES, La. - After a week away, Wiley University men's track and field returned to competition at the McNeese State University Indoor II Invitational held at the Ralph O. Ward Recreation Complex.
The Wildcats last competed on January 16 at the McNeese Indoor I Invitational. They were unable to travel to the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Challenge in Houston due to the winter weather last weekend. Jaden Cole led Wiley in the 600-meter run, finishing third at 1:25.13. He led the team in the 200-meter dash at 23.11.
Kemarrius Mayes, Darrell Sinegaure, Armani Perry-Brown and Xavier Hutchinson qualified for the 55-meter dash final with times under seven seconds. Perry-Brown led the team in the final with a time of 6.96 with Hutchinson following close behind. Caleb Sowell led Wiley in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 56.68. Dantravian Bundred Sloan took third in the 55-meter hurdles (8.51). The 4 x 400-meter relay team of Jaylon Donson, Joseph Levier III, Earl Hurd Jr. and Cole finished fourth at 3:32.12. Hurd finished behind Cole in the 600-meter run (1:25.74).
Wiley will next compete in the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Challenge on February 7 at the University of Houston Yeoman Fieldhouse.
