Men's Cross Country seeks 2025 HBCUAC Conference Championship

DECATUR, Ala. - After finishing runner-up in its last three conference championship appearances, Wiley University men's cross country is looking to take a step up on the podium as it runs for the 2025 Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Championship at 10 a.m. Friday at Oakville Indian Mounds Education Center.

The Wildcats finished second last season, despite Javoun Goldsby winning the individual title and Jaylon Donson and Ameariun Harper earning All-HBCUAC honors. Head coach Christopher McConnell strengthened the roster with a strong recruiting class. Hurd Jr. ran a personal best 29:12.40 at Dallas Baptist University's Old Glory Gallop. Bennett ran a personal best of 30:06.3 at the same meet.
Wiley seeks its first HBCU Athletic Conference title and first since winning the 2014 Red River Athletic Conference Championship.

The champion team and the top four individuals not on the champion team and finished in the top 15 will advance to the 2025 NAIA National Championship on November 21 at Apalachee National Park in Tallahassee, Florida.
