Eaddy wins GCAC Player, Newcomer of the Week

After scoring more than 20 points in two games and leading the Wiley University women's basketball team to two victories Jamiya Eaddy earns Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player and Newcomer of the Week.

She had 21 and shot 50 percent from the field against Arkansas Baptist on October 28. She topped that performance with 32 points against Jarvis Christian on November 4. She shot 10-for-17 from the field and hit six 3-pointers, which three came in the fourth quarter and helped the Lady Wildcats overcome a 12-point deficit. She also averaged six rebounds and two steals per game. Eaddy grabbed 10 rebounds against Oklahoma City University on Thursday.

The Lady Wildcats continue their homestand with games against Texas College Tuesday, Arkansas Baptist College on Thursday and Centenary College of Louisiana on Saturday.
