Women's Basketball takes on Arkansas Baptist
The Wiley University women's basketball team continues its opening homestand with a rematch against Arkansas Baptist College at 5 p.m. Thursday in Alumni Gymnasium.

The Lady Wildcats (3-1) are coming off a 62-55 victory over Texas College on Tuesday. They held the Lady Steers to a 32.8 shooting percentage while it hit 38 percent of its shots. Wiley out rebounded Texas College 43-31. It lost the turnover battle 18-14.
Diamond Hawthorne recorded her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Cailan Hale followed with 10 points and five rebounds. Jay'lann Myles provided eight points, four rebounds, two steals and a block. Tamia Dolls added nine points and two steals. Kiersten Harris recorded a team-high four assists.
The Lady Wildcats defeated Arkansas Baptist 57-54 on October 28. Jamiya Eaddy put up 21 points. They outshot the Buffaloes 37.5 to 31.9 percent. Wiley University struggled keeping possession as they committed 20 turnovers and only allowed nine.
Arkansas Baptist (1-2) fell to Philander Smith University 58-54 on October 31 and picked up its first win against Cottey 68-63 on Sunday. Celebria Peacock leads the team with 15 points per game. Koko Banks and Jessica Nerestant follow with 13. Anna Kassim and Nerestant led the team with 6.5 rebounds per game. Bobbi Hill is averaging three assists per game.
Wiley and Arkansas Baptist will meet for the sixth time. The Lady Wildcats have been victorious in the last three games.
