Camacho earns NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete
Wiley University women's basketball player Elizabeth Camacho achieved in the classroom as well as the court, earning NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete.
She was one of 887 athletes throughout the NAIA to hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while competing in at least two seasons in their respective sport. This is the second time, Camacho has earned the award and her fifth academic award. She was a 2021-22 Red River Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete. Last year, she earned Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar and earned a spot on the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Camacho played in 21 games and started 12. She averaged 4.4 rebounds per game. Camacho is a Mass Communications major who will graduate in May 2025.
