Women's Track and Field start 2023-24 at J.D. Martin Invitational

The Wiley University women's track and field team will open the 2023-24 season at the University of Oklahoma's J.D. Martin Invitational on Saturday.

Field events will begin at 10 a.m. followed by running events at 11 a.m. Live results will be available and the link is listed in the women's track and field schedule on wileyathletics.com. This is the third time in the last four seasons that Wiley has competed in indoor meets. The Lady Wildcats return two from last season's team which finished third in the 2023 GCAC Track and Field championship. Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo was a national championship qualifier in the triple jump and ran cross country. Jean-Marie Farinha who ran distance events and ran cross country also returns.

Head coach LaMark Carter brought in seven athletes. Brayleigh Mitchell and Shyla Starks played on the volleyball team. Asia Smith, Kyla Deyon, Kaiden Taylor, and Shannon Mills ran cross country. LaDaija Thomas who competed at Waskom High School joins the roster.

The Lady Wildcats will compete against both National Collegiate Athletic Association and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics schools.
