Mills, Tutt-Moutouo record runner-up finishes
NORMAN, Okla. - Wiley University women's track and field athletes Shannon Mills and Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo deliver runner-up finishes, and five freshmen made their collegiate debuts at the University of Oklahoma's J.D. Martin Invitational Saturday at the Mosier Indoor Facility.
Mills, who competed in her first collegiate meet, finished second in the 200-meter dash (26.16). She topped 26 athletes, mostly from National Collegiate Athletic Association schools. Tutt-Moutouo finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 11.07 meters. She was 0.19 meters short of first place.
Freshman LaDaija Thomas competed in the 60-meter dash and the 60-meter hurdles. Kyla Deyon ran in the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash and the 4 x 400-meter relay with freshmen teammates Kaiden Taylor and Mills and sophomore Tutt-Moutouo. Taylor competed in the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and long jump.
