Women's Track and Field competes at Outdoor Track and Field Meet
RUSTON, La. - The Wiley University women's track and field team had several athletes improve their times during the Jim Mize Invitational hosted by Louisiana Tech University on Friday and Saturday.
LaDaija Thomas ran her fastest times in the 100-meter hurdles (16.63) and the 400-meter hurdles (1:13.84). Kaiden Taylor ran a personal best in the 400-meter dash (1:01.97). Thomas and Taylor helped the Lady Wildcats run a season-best 50.06 in the 4 x 100-meter relay.
Wiley ran mostly against athletes from NCAA Division I programs. Team scores were not kept at the invitational. Shannon Mills finished fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.28.
The Lady Wildcats will head to the Prairie View A&M University relays on Friday and Saturday.
