Women's Track and Field set for Bobcat Invitational

The Wiley University women's track and field team heads to Texas State University for the 2024 Bobcat Invitational from Thursday to Saturday at the Texas State University Track and Field Complex.

Live results will be available at https://results.adkinstrak.com/meets/31934. Field events begin with the discus at 9 a.m. Jayla Johnson will look to advance to the finals by finishing in the top nine. She threw 25.94 meters at the McNeese State University Cowboy Relays on March 9. 

At 11 a.m. Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo will look to qualify for nationals in the long jump. Thursday will be the first time she's competed in the event during outdoor season. She posted a national championship qualifying distance of 5.64 meters during indoor season. 

LaDaija Thomas will look to improve her time in the 400-meter hurdles. She has a personal best of 1:13.84 which she obtained last week at the Jim Mize Invitational. Asia Smith, Kaiden Taylor, Thomas and either Ariel Johnson or Mackenzie Catalon will compete in the 4 x 100-meter relay at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
