Women's Track and Field complete Prairie View A&M Relays
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas - The Wiley University women's track and field team finished their third meet of the 2025 season with Ariel Johnson and Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo nearly qualifying for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Women's Outdoor Track and Field National Championship at the 91st Prairie View A&M Relays Friday.
The Lady Wildcats competed against National Collegiate Athletic Association, NAIA and National Junior College Athletic Association schools. For the third straight week, Tutt-Moutouo was within striking distance of a qualifying mark. Her leap of 5.23 meters in the long jump, was just over 0.5 meters from the 'B' qualifying standard and third among 10 competitors. She had her furthest distance in the triple jump at 11.17 meters, finishing third and 0.54 meters from the 'B' qualifying standard.
Johnson finished the 100-meter hurdles in 14.72, 0.45 seconds from the 'B' qualifying standard. Her time was third among six competitors. She was also within a second of qualifying in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 12.88.
The Lady Wildcats will head to the Chick-Fil-A Bryan Phillips Open at Harding University on April 4 and 5. It will be their final meet before the 2025 Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference Track and Field Championship.
