Women's Cross Country runs at Old Glory Gallop
Wiley University women's cross country competed against 40 schools and over 400 athletes at Dallas Baptist University's Old Glory Gallop Saturday at AP Ranch.
Most of the athletes were from NCAA schools. Samarea Womack led the Lady Wildcats with a personal best time of 24:54.02 in the five-kilometer race. Kaiden Taylor followed at 25:52.54. JaKatelyn Thomas (26:41.59), Inajia Jefferson (27:02.58) and Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo (27:07.58) rounded out the Lady Wildcats' results.
Wiley will head to the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship at Oakville Indian Mounds Education Center in Decatur, Ala. on Friday. It seeks its first HBCUAC title and first conference title since winning the Red River Athletic Conference in 2014.
