Women's Cross Country runs for 2025 HBCUAC Championship
DECATUR, Ala. - Wiley University women's cross country will race for the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference's top prize when it competes for the 2025 HBCUAC Cross Country Championship at 11 a.m. Friday at the Oakville Indian Mounds Education Center
The race will be six kilometers on grass and paths. Live Results will be available.
Samarea Womack has led the Lady Wildcats all season. She ran a personal best 31:42.6 at the Belhaven Invitational which ranks ninth in the HBCU Athletic Conference. Kaiden Taylor ran a season-best time at the Belhaven Invitational 31:43.8, which ranks 10th in the conference. Remi Pierre ran 32:55.2 at the Belhaven Invitational and ranks in the top 15 of the HBCU Athletic Conference.
The champion team and the top four individuals not on the champion team and ranked in the top 15 will advance to the 2025 NAIA National Championship on November 21 at Apalachee National Park in Tallahassee, Florida.
The Lady Wildcats are looking to improve on last year's fourth-place finish. They are seeking their first HBCUAC title and first since winning the 2014 Red River Athletic Conference Championship.
