Ramirez, Navarro claim HBCUAC Weekly Awards
After helping the Lady Wildcats secure the second seed in the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) West Division, Leah Ramirez wins HBCUAC Defensive Player of the Week and Lizette Navarro takes home Freshman of the Week for October 27-November 2.
Ramirez made three saves to help the Lady Wildcats secure the second seed with a 3-2 victory over the West Division champion Huston-Tillotson University. This was her second weekly honor.
Navarro scored the match-winning goal against Huston-Tillotson with a header off a corner kick by Nadia Hernandez in the 87th minute. It was her second goal of the season.
The awards give the Lady Wildcats 13 for the season. Wiley competes in the 2025 HBCUAC Soccer Championship November 4 until the 7.
